PDF finally available!

Hello, everyone!

Almost two years after our release of GLITTER AND GOLD, we have finally been able to provide a PDF version for you!

You may not know this (and it's been quite long, that perhaps we never said this and thought we did!), but this zine gave us some trouble when it was completed. InDesign would refuse to export it properly, as it had done for many other PDFs before. It would export the zine in spread format, despite the options asking for a clearly stated format where you could read page by individual page. Other times, it would crash--and other times, it would corrupt the PDF, saying that the export itself was corrupted. Then some other times, it would export the colors to be darker than they were!

Due to so many issues, we were at a loss at how to present this--until one of our members, Artem Ficta, came in with the idea of the flipbook and provide it as an .exe file! In addition, they offered us a small space for everyone to read it online!

However, years later, we have figured out a way to resolve the issue--simply open the file in another program that could export it! In simple terms, we merely took the file from InDesign, exported it to another file format (in this case, IDML) which "saves it" as is, so that it can be opened in a program like Affinity Publisher. Here's more info on that for the more tech-minded. Of course, this method is not perfect; some of the text had to be adjusted as Publisher has slight different "settings" than InDesign in terms of text--mainly spacing between words and letters, and paragraph alignment. We also fixed the links on the back cover to be updated, and added the COVER ARTIST credit as we had appeared to have forgotten to do that! Gasp!!!

We have deleted the link to read the flipbook from our description, as it's no longer needed. But the .exe file is still up, so worry not! You can still download it again and again and again and again--

The new update brings two pdfs: one where you can read it as a spread like a book, and one where you can read it page by page. The colors may look different from the .exe, but still are a bit darker. (Apparently the color settings are in another castle, even between two programs!)

That's all we believe to be of pertinent news. Please let us know if there are any questions--and thank you for your support!
